Few months later, it was almost time for our prom and I had decided to ask Amaya to prom. I took her to one of her favourite coffee shop and asked her out on prom with a bunch of red roses. I knew she would say yes and I was really excited to enter my final year with my two favourite ladies by my side. I was so happy that I wanted to share it with Adhira so I decided to buy her a gift so she won’t feel left out as none of our classmates wants to go with her. She decided to go alone for my sake because I wanted her there. I went to a mall to buy something for her and first thing came to my mind is dress as she don’t really have anything good to wear to prom and I was confident enough that she won’t buy a dress and would be comfortably came in her usual clothes. I went to a store and ask a store lady to show me some simple but elegant dress because that’s what she is simple but one of her kind. The store lady showed me many dresses but none of those were matching her personality. I asked her to show me more and then she showed me one dress that my mind got stuck on. It was a full sleeves, sky blue colour dress with hunch of purple in bottom, an inch above knees with small beads belt over the skirt and lace shoulders. It was perfect for her and could only imagine how outstanding she would look in that dress. I didn’t give it a second thought and bought that dress for her. Way to her house I bought her some chocolate because she loves dark chocolate.

I reached her house and knocked at the door, her mother open the door and greeted me very gently, gives me genuine smile and asks me to come in and told me that Adhira is in her room as usual lost in her fiction world. I get in her room without knocking and as expected she was on her bed with a book in one hand and squeaking the pillow in other. The way she was holding the pillow and had a frown on her face, it’s definitely something about Elizabeth rejecting Darcy proposal or Daisy and Gatsby diversion. I never understood why she gets so upsets when something wrong happens in books, it’s like she is living the character herself. To distract her from her reading I closed the door and bumped on her bed. She got surprised and tries to hide her tears from rolling down her cheeks. I smiled at her reaction and hand her over the big box from my hands. She gave a very scary look and asks what it was. I didn’t reply and wait for her to open it and see for her own. I knew she won’t accept it at first but it have my ways to convince her so I just said that I wasn’t going to take no for an answer. The moment she opened the box and saw the dress she loved it and asked me if this dress was for Amaya. I told that this dress was her to wear to prom. As expected she refused to take it and that she can’t accept such expensive gifts but she will take chocolates instead. It took me a lot of time to convince her not to wear her usual clothes and has to wear this because one thing was sure that she loved the dress but just because it’s a “gift”, she can’t accept it. When she finally agreed to wore that dress, I asked if she has matching footwear and jewellery to it and took her shopping with me so that she can pick something matching stuff to dress.
