Meera was a beautiful, ambitious, fun loving and kind person. She was in her final year of B. Tech with uncountable dreams in her eyes. But her parents wanted her to get married after graduation and she was opposed to it.
Gyan, a good looking kind person of age 25 with a government job, he was her "fiance". Gyan always liked her but Meera never bothered. Meera had a typical prince charming of her dreams, she liked cool dudes.
"Go and have a talk to Gyan dear, he came to meet you." Her mother requested.
"No mumma, I told you I am not interested in him."
"You shouldn't speak like that beta."
Gyan always wanted to have a long conversation with Meera but Meera always ignored by giving excuses. Oneday Meera met a guy on social media and the person was exactly as per her dreams. His name was Arav. He was a businessman by profession.
"Hey girl"
"Hi"
"You look awesome."
"You too."
The conversation started and they both came into a secret relationship. Meera used to meet him telling lies at home. Someday she says extra classes, someday friend's birthday and so on, but deep inside she knew that no one in her family will replace Gyan. So she made a plan in her mind. She got placed in a reputed company because her marks were good. She maintained the secret relationship for five months till she got her graduation certificate. One Day she went out and came home with Arav. Everyone was shocked because both were in wedding costumes.
"It's Arav, I love him mom-dad, please try to understand. I knew that no one would ever accept this so I took this step. I never wanted to hear you."
Seeing this Gyan was just shattered. He sat down on the couch, he was almost numb. Everyone was shocked.
"Go out….I said get lost", her father shouted at them.
"You are not our daughter anymore, you are just shameless." Said her mother.
Having no option they left. Arav took Meera to his home. He was living only with his mother there and his father was no more. They were continuing their family business after his father's death. Meera was happy to get her second family but at the same time depressed for losing the first too.
MEANWHILE
"May God always bless her" , Gyan said.
"We are really sorry Gyan, we don't know how to apologize", said Meera's dad.
"Its okay uncle, she has the right to take her own decisions, after all it's her life." Gyan said with tears in his eyes.
Few days were really good in Meera's married life but day by day the things were becoming rotten. She wasn't allowed to use social media by Arav. As per him she will meet new guys there which he never wanted. She was forced to do all the household work at their home by her mother-in-law and they suspended their maid for saving money. She was treated rudely. Sometimes Arav used to torture her too. They took advantage of the fact that she is not able to communicate with her family.
Oneday Puja visited her in their home by taking their address from various sources. Meera informed her everything within that day but it was seen by her mother-in-law, they had beaten her severely afterwards. Oneday Gyan came to take her but they were not willing to send Meera back. Still he shouted and took her back and filed her divorce papers. He was unable to see Meera's pathetic condition no matter what she did.
It took 6 months for their divorce. Arav was not at all ready to give divorce but Meera's family threatened them severely. After her divorce Gyan insisted Meera's family get her married to him.
"Are you still willing to marry her, she betrayed you." Meera's mother said.
"Aunty, I always loved her. "
"But she is a divorced woman now."
"Maybe now she could love me."
"I was wrong, you were perfect for me", said Meera entering there.
"Please don't think I am willing to marry you out of sympathy Meera. I always loved you, you are divorced now but it doesn't make any difference to me atleast, because I will love her TILL THE LAST BREATH."
Meera felt herself lucky to get such a love in her life. They both got married and got a cute little baby boy after two years of their marriage. But the scars of the past were difficult to heal.
