I realised that she is worried and I stopped laughing. I then told her not to worry about anything and I am not at all angry. I asked her to relax and don’t listen to anything people say. She tilts her head and ask me what are we going to do about the rumours, I assures her that it’s not going be problem because I trust you and we don’t need to explain as they might then doubt me for having feelings for you. She nodded and started to walk towards class without saying anything so I followed her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder but she got shocked. I wanted to show everyone that these stupid gossips won’t break our friendship so I didn’t lose my hand and walked like this in classroom. Everyone was shocked and couldn’t believe of what they saw. When we reached our seats, I let go of her and sat down and gave her a smile. She smiled back and gets lost in her books again.
Suddenly I remember about Amaya and stand up to look for her. In all those gossips I completely forgot that it’s our first day as couple in school. I went out of the room and saw her standing near stairs and talking to a girl. I reach to her and hold her hand from behind. She got surprised and turned back; the girl standing with her blushed and decided to leave us alone. When she left, I looked at Amaya and apologised for not coming to her earlier. She didn’t respond to me the way she was supposed to, in fact she confronted me about gossip and asked me about having feelings for her. I wasn’t shocked on her reaction as these gossips were getting into everyone so replied her calmly and assured her I like only her and she is just a good friend of me.
After a long discussion, we go to class and everyone was smiling at us. I got to my seat and I found her sitting where I left her to be. I pat Adhira’s shoulder and asked her what she was reading. I love the way talk about books and movie, it’s like she is meant to a writer or something but I won’t go that far because for instant I know she is not so serious about writing. She thinks of her reading as time pass and her main focus is fashion but to be true she is not at all good in fashion. I was happy that finally I have my girlfriend and my best friend on same page.
